Why Did God Make Man?

  • Why Did God Make Man

So much talk about the meaning of life today…

Pay close attention to God’s reason for creating man:

God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth… God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves on the earth―Gen. 1:26, 28

What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You attend to him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and crowned him with glory and honor. You have given him dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field,
the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatever travels the paths of the seas―Ps. 8:4-8

What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live in them and walk in them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people” … “I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty”―2 Cor. 6:16, 18

He predestined us to adoption as sons to Himself through Jesus Christ according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace which He graciously bestowed on us in the Beloved―Ephesians 1:5-6, 12

He raised us up and seated us together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works, so that no one should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, so that we should walk in them―Ephesians 2:6-10

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may declare the goodness of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light―1 Peter 2:9

You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power;
for You have created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created―Revelation 4:11

So, what do you think about the reason God created you?
