The Majestic Splendor of Jesus

  • Majestic-Splendor-of-Jesus

I’ve said this before, but it’s worth reminding…

The Holy Spirit longs to guide you into the deep things of God’s heart (Jn. 16:13-14; 1 Cor. 2:10-12). In order for Jesus to become your magnificent obsession, you need the Spirit of revelation awakening your heart.

But keep in mind, Holy Spirit will not force the treasure of who Jesus is, He will give you according to your hunger…

  • I count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus… (Phil. 3:8)

One of the great passages of Scripture is Hebrews one—written to equip the saints of that day, to stand against heresies that denied Jesus’ deity.

  • Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. 3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. (Heb. 1:1-3) ESV

Plain and simple: God spoke to us by His Son

Hebrews establishes Jesus’ supremacy and preeminence over everyone, presenting Him as the royal Son (Ps. 2), the royal Priest (Ps. 110), and the royal Bridegroom (Ps. 45).

Did you know that there was never a time when Jesus did not exist?

The writer of Hebrews explains the pre-existence of Jesus as God—His incarnation as a man and His eternal exaltation…

You’ll discover seven “excellencies of Jesus” in Hebrews one:

  • Jesus, the Heir of All
  • Jesus, the Creator of of the World
  • Jesus, the Radiance of God
  • Jesus, the Exact Representation of the Father
  • Jesus, the Sustainer
  • Jesus, the Redeemer
  • Jesus, the Ruler of Heaven and Earth

Each excellency of Jesus is like the angle of a magnificent diamond (of the most beautiful diamond you have ever seen or imagine)…

Jesus is the full and final message to humanity about God…

To know and understand what the Father (the Most High God) is saying you must look to His Son—and to refuse to hear what God says in Jesus is to refuse God himself…

The Controversy About His Identity and Claims

Put differently, unless you believe Jesus is who He claims to be you are lost in your sins (John 8:24).

I’m sorry if I’m breaking the news to you, but all religions do not lead to God… Jesus is the only way… He clearly said so:

I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me —John. 14:6

Few people like to hear this…

Actually, the icons of this age (celebrities, self help gurus, etc.) say the concept about Jesus being the only way is too black and white.

You bet it is!

The truth is controversial and judgmental—a double edge sword that most folks don’t want to deal with.

Stars like Oprah Winfrey boldly state on international TV: “I refuse to believe there is only one way to heaven.” And like billions of others, she is willing to gamble her eternity on that opinion…

Well, It’s the beauty of free will…

You can form opinions and make choices (people have all kinds of ideas) about Jesus, about the Bible and about eternal life…

But what would you believe? Is Jesus who He claims to be?

God spoke to us by His Son…

Who is willing to hear?
